Yeah hur hur there are many things that I don't understand but in this case I'm talking about pirates.
Not these guys:
I'm talking about the pirates tearassing around the horn of Africa generally pissing off the world.
What I do get is what they are doing, robbing just about everyone who they can get their hands on;
What I don't get is why we haven't carpet bombed them back to allah.
I mean we know where they live! We know where they go and generally where they are! if you used the right sub munitions you could probably do it all with 1 flight of F-15E Strike Eagles or whatever the equivalent currently in use happens to be and just cluster bomb the fuckers.
You know just pepper the whole area with cluster bomblets and follow it up with a few dumps of anti - personnel land mines and they wouldn't bother us again, at least not that group.
But nooooo we have to be all emo about it and the press gets to bemon this that and the other ship getting captured by what appears to be camel herders with AKs.
Which brings me to another point, wtf people? how the hell exactly do we let these guys on the ship? Are we dealing with ninja pirates here?
There is some serous lack of preparedness and manlieness amongst the crews and captians of these ships here.
I mean one 30-06 or if you had extra cash .50 would seemingly do the trick here. NVGs would be nice too but whatever you could deal. Or even hire Blackwater for crying out loud.
Whatever I just don't get why these shipping groups can't get thier shit together.
